Deputy Governor of Nigeria’s Kwara State who doubles as Chairman of the State Technical Committee on COVID-19, Kayode Alabi, and his wife, Her Excellency Mrs. Abieyuwa Alabi, underwent test after they showed slight symptoms of the virus.
The results of their test are positive, a statement by the spokesman for Kwara Task Force on COVID-19, Rafiu Ajakaye, read.
“The second couple are very stable and in high spirit, and are now undergoing standard management protocols supervised by the government’s medical team,” Ajakaye who is the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said.
“Immediate contact tracing and tests, among other safety protocols, are being done for persons who have met with the couple in the past few days.

“The government wishes the second couple and all others quick recovery,” the statment read.
Just yesterday (Monday, August 3), the Kwara State Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Technical Committee on COVID-19 Mr Kayode Alabi, met with the Commissioner for Education Hajia Fatimah Bisola Ahmed where he handed facemasks to her for distribution to schools in the state as part of preparations for their resumption.
